About Matthew Hinman
I have been programming for the web since about 1992. I began with only basic HTML, hard coding each and every page. With the advent of WYSIWYG editors like HotDog Pro and Dreamweaver, I have found ways to accelerate the process, although still relying heavily on the raw code. I soon learned PHP/MySQL, JavaScript, and I dabble in Flash. I also can write CSS, can create RSS/XML feeds, and can handle your podcasting or blogging/vlogging needs.
I do use templates where possible, although custom designs are available.
I rely on open source materials, too, to keep your costs down whether it's a database-driven site or an e-commerce site.
I recently began venturing into a web-based video service called Brownwood TV, available at www.brownwoodtv.com. Brownwood TV will focus on video about Brownwood and the surrounding area. Videos will be produced both by me and by viewer submission.
In conjunction with Brownwood TV, I'm producing www.brownwoodweb.com. Brownwood Web will be an informational site about Brownwood area business, shopping, events, and news.
BrownwoodWeb.com and BrownwoodTV.com are ongoing projects in making sites that are oriented to this area.
ArkShelter.org is the latest project. A gift from Hinman Media to The Ark is a new web site. It is under construction now, but look for it to go live very soon.
